@Randy Holmes-Farley My target alkalinity is 9dkh and my salt mix is 8.5dkh my tank is 60 gallons with sump. Is there a formula to raise tank to desired alkalinity level? Example lets say my tank is currently 8.5 and doing a 10 gallon water change to get target to 9. Hope this makes sense what I am asking.

For your example:
If your tank volume is 60 gallons at 8.5 dKH, and you want to do a 10 gallon water change.
What dKH does the new 10 gallons have to be to get the final alkalinity to be 9 dKH?

( (50 gallons x 8.5 dKH ) + (10 gallons x ? dKH) ) divided by 60 total gallons = 9 dKH

The 10 new gallons would need to be at 11.5 dKH.

Now... it's probably easier to just use the above calculators. About 3/4ths of a teaspoon of baking soda would raise 60 gallons of water by 0.5 dKH.
