Morning,

Is anyone using a Kalk reactor on their tank while using a Alkatronic? I love what Kalkwasser does for my tank and want to incorporate it with the Alkatronic. I would use a DOS for the Kalk dosing say 800ml /day and programming a fail safe in Apex where “if Alk_6 is > than 8.2 then OFF”. Something like that, and then let Alkatronic do it’s thing via Dosetronic with alk. I’m just worried that they may conflict and cause a spike. Thanks for any input!

You would need to have a ph fail safe ran by Fusion.

You set the alk levels (variance) with the Alkatronc.

So your DOS would need to be shut off with an Apex switch for ph danger, and you would need to plug in the Alkatronic's Bluetooth socket into the same Apex switch for alk control.

The safer way would to dose regular 2 part alk with a Dosetronic and just a tad amount of kalk with DOS for slight raise in your display's ph.

Never run kalk with the Alkatronic's d pump. Your ph levels would go sky high.

Thanks for your input Vols! I was going to do the second part. Run my alk with Dosetronic and dose ~500 ml of kalk a day with a DOS pump. Then set a failsafe in fusion to turn off kalk(DOS pump) if it goes above a set value. Just trying to avoid a rollercoaster alk value with the kalk reactor and Dosetronic fighting each other, even if it’s a small .5 ish swing.

The Dosetronic has no issue with tight alk control using SDA alone. I love what kalk does for my tank, just would like to use them both with reasonable insurance against a substantial swing.
