ALKILINITY

That’s really high alkalinity. I would still lower it slowly with weekly water changes using a salt that mixes in the 7 to 10 Alk range.

Wait to add anything for a couple months until the tank alkalinity comes down.

If your alk is that high check your freshly mixed salt water. Chances are you probably have a bad batch. I had the same issue with Kent marine testing at 14 dkh. I used sodium bisulfate to lower alkalinity both in my display and mixed salt water. I have since switched to fritz. I’m happy.

Be careful with any alk lowering additives they can quickly drop ph, use an air stone to help blow off co2 and raise ph back up. I used this method in my coral qt tank. I mixed sodium bisulfate with some ro/di and added it directly to the aquarium while running 2 air stones. I dropped the 14 dkh to 9 over a week, I know it’s quick but I only had zoas and acan at the time and they handled it well.
