Alklinty too high, any ideals why?

Alklinty 1402

Alklinty keeps rising was 1200 no chemicals added except mag and calcium mind you the corals look good using reef fusion calcium and bulk reef magnesium

What do you use to maintain alkalinity? Are your corals stressed looking? Can you confirm the trident reading with any other test kits?

Not your RODI, your saltwater when you mix it

Without double checking the trident, that number is pointless.

The trident is known for wonky reading either when adding new reagent, or getting down to the last bit.

Verify that reading with a titration kit before doing anything.

Yes I test the water with a red sea kit and the trident is been calbriated with the test solution
I make sure when I mix the salt it runs with heater and a wave maker for a few days and the salinity is correct before water change

from what i can see, back down your alk dosing,
cal should rise,
mag needs to come up one way or another. 1300 good number.

I had this same issue and it was the Mag was to low, took a few days to get from 1300 to 1350 and once there it stabilized. Alk started to go down again.

Is nitrate declining a lot? That adds alk.

You sure you added the right part of the reef Fusion?
