Hey guys I have a 20g high mixed reef I just recently switched from led maxspect rzr to an all blue xho reefbrite 24" and 2 t5 bulbs one coral+ and a blue+, but even with the reefbrite it was too white for my taste so I switched the coral+ to a purple+. My coral don't seem to pop with that setup so I was thinking of going with both blue+ would this be too much? And also the coral don't seem to be as happy. I switched this all over around 2 weeks ago. The t5s and xho are about 10" high from the tank.

I want to change What should I do? I'm a beginner If you go to the store better?

Visually straight Blue+ and a Blue+ with a True Actinic are basically the same. The True Actinic is much better at pulling out the fluorescence than just the Blue+

Actinics put out 1/2 of the PAR of a blue+ if I remember correctly. That may not matter if the reefbrites put out enough PAR. If you have budget, I would buy multiple bulbs and swap them around to find what you like. I run a 4-bulb T5, and my next round of bulb changes am going all blue+. Purple didn't impress me, and the coral+ washes everything out.

Yeah I think I'm gonna try and get an actinic and see how that looks... then maybe if that's too much ill go with the blue+

I have a 4 bulb fixture and am running 3 blue plus and 1 purple plus. The purple is in the back. Now im curious what all blues would look like.
