Don’t have anymore, but eels love PVC pipes! If you can put some under rocks / sand even better

Nice! that's a snowflake eel? And I wonder if you can have multiple different species of eels together in one tank?

The rare 2 headed eel!! Snowflake is 18” and Ribbon is 36”.

Nice ! Do you hand feed them? And do you do water changes regularly or not?
Feeding is a little tricky. The snowflake is a pig and of course the ribbon is finicky. Hand fed on separate ends of tank about once a week. Mainly Silversides. 20% water change every couple of months. Older tank with sealed top except for cutouts for lights, air hoses etc. Eels will find a way out of most tanks.

I've read that . I wanna do a lot of research before I get into it . I already own a mixed reef tank mostly sps dominated but don't want to add one there I prefer a seperate tank. And what I've read so far maintenance wise its not too complicated.

I have 4 but 1 (zebra) is in a separate bigger tank. Deff need a good protein skimmer they're messier eaters but also depends on which ones you decide to go with. But having only eels in it will prob look like an empty tank for the most part they hide a lot and just poke their heads out but it is awesome when they’re swimming around I have a jewel a banded and a snowflake ( the jewel is a beast and eats like 10x more then the other two) I haven’t had any problems with them eating tank mates but I also keep them well fed. I like to do water changes every 2 weeks or so but could prob do it every month I just like to keep my nitrates around 20 in this tank but I hear of people who have them wayyy higher in fish only tanks. Just research the eel you want first some are pretty aggressive

Awesome! Nice looking eels!

Always thought the jewel kind of looked like a dragon somewhat similar but seeing yours now I deff have to have one in the future that has to be the best looking eel IMO. Has he ate any tank mates? Lol

The japanese dragon is definitely my favorite but there are few other species of dragon/horned eels that dont cost as much and look just as cool.

And he only ate the small fish i couldnt catch, a small clown and 2 cardinals when i first put him in. Hes been with a long nose butterfly, desjardini tang, and lamarck angel for a year without issues.

I haven’t seen that one before and I have 2 clowns in there with mine that he could eat in one bite but he doesn’t even seem to notice them. But soon as I put a silverside in he inhaled them He will prob eat 6/7 silversides if I let him he’s so fat lol
