All for Reef and nitrates...

So ive been using AFR for a while and its working well. Ive gotten my parameters steady. Ive recently started dosing NeoNitro to get some kind of detectable levels... in the last few days ive noticed my alk starting to creep up. Is there some kind of relation with available nitrates and alk levels while using AFR?

Interesting. So from what i read, any nitrate consumption on the tank will lead to an increase in alk levels no matter the dosing supplements.

Indeed!
In case if you keep dosing it you will need to pay attention to alk.
I also dose AFR in my tank and the time that I added a bit of nitrate… same thing happened.

Did you continue dosing nitrates? If so, did you notice any issues with other parameters?

Hello!
No I didn’t. I raised over a month to what I wanted. Then, up to today, never needed again.
Yet, no other parameter “problems” besides the attention to alk.
