My Tank Thread
My Aquarium Showcase
Hey Reefers! I recently switched over my lps/sps frag tank from Seachem two part to All for Reef. While the instructions said to take it slow, I didn't realize why at first. I am used to the instant rise of alk when using 2 part dosing.
I was initially unaware how All for Reef works, and kept bumping up my dose after only two days. Well, this is day three, and the bacteria are starting to convert that calcium formate to sodium bicarbonate. (I think that's how it works)
My alk initially went down from 8.5 dkh to 7.5 dkh. Well it has started to steadily rise today as pictured to around 10 dkh. I know what I have to do (water change), but thought I'd share my experience. Lesson learned for me.
