Ok. This has probably been covered somewhere but can't find it. My container of all for reef says mix 6 scoops~160 grams to 1L rodi, the website says mix 6 scoops~160 grams to 900 ml to make a 1L mixture, which is correct? See attached pics. First is my 800g container, second is their website
Thank you

well both are sort of correct but the more recent instructions are the 160 grams to 900 ml, I believe. One is just going to be a little more concentrated than the other.

Wow, I never knew there were two different sets of instructions ! I’m using 6 scoops in 1 liter and I’m sticking to that. I’m still trying to make it work. It doesn’t matter if it’s a little less concentrated.

It will probably dissolve better in 1l anyway, took like 2 days to completely dissolve last time I made it in 1l

I mean the web site instructions just say approx 900 ml so I would assume it doesn’t need to be that precise. I just fill my beaker to somewhere between 900 ml and one L and call it good.

They also say approximately 160g or 6 scoops. 6 packed scoops doesn't get me to 160, 150 ish on my 50g scale that weighs to .001 so maybe 6 scoops is better at 900ml vs 160g at 1l? I mixed 160g with 1l last time so I'll stick with it

On another note, should this be treated like salt in a bucket? Stirred, rolled, mixed before using due to settling or is it mostly homogeneous?

Maybe I should invest in one, although this is the only thing I'd ever use it for
I got this one recommended by BRS in one of their videos. It’s really nice. This is in CAD so it will be cheaper for you.

I‘ve used it a few times besides my tank but I just can’t remember what for, lol. But once you have it, it’s handy.

Tropic Marin changed suggested concentrations at one point. In general, it makes nio difference what the concentration is as long as it is not so dilute that it allows organisms to grow in it, and is not so concentrated that it does not all dissolve.
