All for Sustainability

I am 100% all for sustainability and I am even trying to contribute to the cause via my own tank. I don't understand the point of this though, who is really going to buy this? Although, I completely appreciate the breakthrough, it seems pointless to put these on the market at 8x the price for this size.

A person who will pay about $400-$500 more than they need to.
Yellows were that way at first, now $200 Canadian or a bit less.

I've seen them go for $100 at 2 inches. To me the more sensible option is to add these to their breed pool until they can get a more abundant supply and lower the prices so people will actually buy sustainable. I just don't see people spending this kind of money for this.

And if not, they will go on sale, then reduced, then reduced again until a good number is reached.
Captive yellows have dropped substantially in the last year.
I see people pay $1800 for a torch because it has been given a very trick name by some unknown authority.
I can’t really qualify for sustainable as am packed full of stuff from the sea.
Sorry Mother Nature, I buy captive bred or aquaculture when it makes sense to do so.

I'm a supporter of aquaculture and mariculture but personally think CITES keeps wild collection sustainable and as long as that remains, i don't feel guilty about wild collection. The CB prices just eliminate the option for a LOT of people.

There's more to captive bred than sustainability.
