Hello everyone,
This past week has been one of the most unforgettable, yet painful of my life. Through it all, I have been deeply, deeply touched by the tremendous outpouring of love from our community. Many of you shared stories of family members who's lives have been shortened by cancer or other diseases; all offered support and prayers.
I cannot tell you how much your genuine concern means to me and to my family. The honest, open support and sharing of experiences exemplifies why reefers are fantastic people, who show so much care and support for others. I am truly blessed to be a part of such a magnificent community.
As I had mentioned previously, we will be launching our charity, “Corals for The Cure”, this week on the UC website, and I am already gratified by the pledges of support that we have received. Thank you so much for this. It’s my hope that we can create a charity that will help raise awareness and, perhaps, help fund research that will lead to a cure for this dreadful disease.
To all of you who have sent words of support- and to all of those who have loved ones facing life-threatening challenges, and especially to those who’s loved ones battled courageously and lost their battles- my thoughts, prayers, and love are with you.
Together, we are a vital, dynamic community that can face challenges, and support each other throughout our lives, for the betterment of all.
Thank you once again for your tremendous outpouring of support.
