Hi,

I am looking for a good all in one supplement for my reef. I have ran for almost 2 years with no additives but noticed that some coral isn't growing properly. I looked into "purple tech" and "reef complete" what do you guys think. I just don't want to deal with 15 different additives. Any help would be well appreciated.

Thank you

In eight years I've never heard of a good "all in one" supplement other than WATER CHANGES. In a softy tank, you should only need water changes, In a LPS tank you shouldnt have to dose often but its best to test your ALk, Calcium and magnesium and then use a chemistry calculator before you dose. With SPS you need to test and dose at least the three major components I just listed weeky if not daily.

Look into two part dosing if your truely interested in having healthy corals. Its really three parts. Or simply do water changes more often.

Check out Tropic Marin Bio Calcium. You will occasionally have to test and adjust magnesium seperately. If you have a good water change schedule and use a good salt like Reef Crystals, it's possible you might not have to separately adjust Mg at all.

Get Salifert calcium, alkalinity and magnesium test kits and the Reef Chemistry Calculator so you can accurately tell how much of what needs to be dosed.

BTW, at most you would have to dose three bottles of stuff....there is no dosing regime that you'd want to think about that has any more than that.

Hope this helps!
