All in one tank question.

This is my first all in one tank. My question is. I’m noticing some brownish hairy algae building up in the filter area. Is this normal. If not what can I do to prevent it. The tank is five months running. It’s in a fallow period due to a velvet break out. The algae was there before the break out and I’m on my third week being fallow. All parameters are good except my phos and nitrate are slightly elevated. Any recommendations
