I do have some questions about my corals though cause I have no idea what they are. They are a little sad looking cause the jerk just threw them in a buckets but some of them are starting to open up and extend so I must be doing something right

Number 1
Theres 2 of these and a little bitty one starting on a rock next to it but this is the biggest one. It was completely closed up this morning.

Number 2 has started to extend out a little as well

And lastly number three I believe is a Zo but im not entirely sure but its in the worse shape

So any help on what the corals are and how I can help them will be awesome! Thanks!

Can you tell us more about your tank? Unless it was a established system with the rock, water and filter purchased from someone and transferred to your house your probably going to have issues with your livestock.. Typically you would set a tank up with just your live rock and salt water and then let it "cycle" a few weeks before adding your first corals and then your snails after you start seeing some algae growth but I do see the powerhead covered in coralline so I'm thinking its a used system.. What kind of lighting and filter system do you have? Another thing to point out is having your tank next to that window is a bad idea as you will experience greater temperature swings and unwanted algae growth from the natural light.. also your stand looks like it could be a issue unless it is very well braced in the back, a tank full of water is VERY heavy and your stand should be strong.. First pic is leather coral, second is Zoa's and last pic looks like candy cane.

Right now this is just a QT tank till I can get there actual tank cleaned out cause it is covered with algae. Everything in it is already cycled i just took all the water and rock from the tank and put it in this one. Its only by the window for now cause I didnt have anywhere else to put it until I get the other one up and going

Corals.
1 - Toadstool.
2 - Zoas / Palys of some sort.
3 - Candycane, in very poor condition.

Have the corals settled yet? I'm curious to about how long the corals take to settle. Or not

Well Im away from the house till tomorrow so Im hoping they improve by then. I did move the rock that the leather coral is on cause I was afraid it hanging like that was stressing it out even more so I moved the rock so it laid on its side some. It had a little more extension on it before I left. I have a big order coming in of new chemicals so once that get in on Thursday I'll test everything and see where I need to go from there.

Im extremely worried about the Candycane... Its pretty beat up and I dont think it's going to make it...
