Fave fish right now? Tough call, because I chose each of my fish because they're fish I wouldn't mind looking at for the next ten years . . .
Have to say that my Bali exquisite fairy wrasse is up there, even though he's not fully mature. Something about that green fish with red trim, can't quite put my finger on it ... (~_^)
As for fish I'd like to acquire, the list seems to fluctuate and grow like that old movie monster, "The Blob", but there's one fish that has become something of an obsession -
Scarus quoyi, Quoy's parrotfish or Greenblotch parrotfish. As young fish and females, they don't look like much...
but the adult males are astounding - and pretty darned reef-safe, from what I've been able to glean! I've only ever seen one in my life, at Michael's New York Aquatic - a year ago, when I had no plans to upgrade my system. Now, with a 220 gallon reef-ready tank sitting in my living room . . . .
Female Quoy's parrotfish from the site "thai-scuba", male ... I suspect most of you recognize that watermark! (>_<)
