If you're a vet of reef-keeping drop your name so I can follow you (for your wisdom Lol). 5+ years experience atleast. Post how many years experience you have and some of your favorite things about the hobby

Thought this was a military vet post... Anyways I'm 10+ yrs into this hobby and enjoy hitchhikers and creepy crawly inverts the most. But you probably don't want to follow me, most of my advice is sarcastic and only funny to me

Oh ya I see you around, you've given me good advice in the past. I will definitely follow Are you a military vet?

My title says it all. Been at this game too long. I enjoy the way chemistry and biology intersect in this hobby. I’m overly opinionated as well. But I like trying to help people when I can, even though my methods are old school.
Overly opinionated

Well here's the thing. Been doing it off and on 15 years but never became any sort of master. I COULD do a lot better if I spent more money (automating dosing for consistency, buying better lights, better skimmers, buying aquariums with larger volumes of water... Largest was a 100 gallon/20g sump which was WORLDS easier to keep nutrient stable than the 30g/10g and biocube I have now) BUT I don't exactly suck either considering my always mediocrity of equipment and hand dosing.

Yay for us old people! Been in hobby since 2007. I’m definitely overly opinionated and just give good advice regardless of people feelings, lol
My new build using some tried and true older methods.

Love that you've got youtube videos as well! I will subscribe Do you ever thin out your corals to sell?

I also thought it was Military. I started my reef tank 50 years ago, it is still running nicely.
It is not a hobby for me, but a way of life as I have always had a fish tank of some type.

I am a zoa collector an starting a mushroom collection as well I started in 2013 with a 40 gallon breeder... have had many systems until I finally decided to settle for zoanthids and mushrooms, now I work in the industry while I’m in college lol I have a YouTube on and off and I’m from the keys we have one of the largest reefs so it’s kind of part of my culture (:
