so out of the hundreds of people on this forum that have awesome photos not one of you use a canon

Lots of people use Canons, but really all cameras operate the same. There are sticky threads at the top of the photography forum with lots of tips. If you have specific questions, we'll be happy to answer. Photography is one of those things that require a lot of practice to learn!

thank you Kim, I can get good pics to my other cameras but not this one. extremely difficult to shoot with the LED's on. any quick tips?

I'm no pro or anything but are you using te auto setting? Manual settig? Aperture setting? I personally like the aperture setting let the camera control the shutter speed and you control the f stop and ISO. I haven't used my camera to much latly but try turning the f stop up and the ISO down. The higher the ISO the more light will be let in you don't want more light. The lower the f stop more light is entered too. And if you have a tripod use it and turn on the image stabilizer. I shoot my kids sports events and some other stuff for fun. I use a canon 7D. I need a macro lens next lol. Hope this might help a little. Also there is a book you can get that explains just about everything that the camera can do. I bought one a few years ago and am still learning this camera there is so much you can do you'll just have to play around and find that sweet spot. Good luck.

LEDs can be hell on our camera sensors. If they're really blue, its almost necessary to remove the blue with post processing. But have you tried adjusting the white balance to either 'shady' or 'cloudy'? That seems to help a bit in many situations. Can you post a couple of example pics to show what problems you're encountering?

i have the same problem, i own a nikon d5200 to take pics to my frags but its very difficult to set it to avoid the blue. i hope a photography pro help us

I used this tutorial how to use a canon dslr. See link below. You'll want to learn the basics on how the camera works first.

Best way to take pics is in RAW format then adjust the white balance in Photoshop or other post processing software.

Enjoy! Digital SLR camera
