Hi, I know Allens damsels are ok in a group longterm unlike most other damsels but do you need to add them all at the same time? I ask as I have a pair and would like to up the numbers by 2-3. I've had mine a few months and they were tiny when I got them, so as one is dominant and larger i'm confident I have a male and female. So basically if I can find a trio of small females will it be ok to add them?

TIA

I have always heard to at them at the same time or the smaller ones first. I'm sure you could add them at night too??

I'm not massively worried about aggression when introducing really, its more a longterm thing. Basically i'd like them to get on for years and if there isn't a chance at that i'll consider something else in stead. I've watched groups and they seem to squabble amongst themselves as you'd expect but without any really damage. I'll divide the tank for a little while so they get used to each other (after qt) to make things easier.

You should be fine. There will be some initial jockying for territory, but as long as the tank is more than 50g, you will be fine.

On hold for a little while as I went to look at some today from atmitedly a shop I've never bought from before, and we'll let's just say it was impressive just how many diseases you could find in one system. So I'm ordering them from my trusted shop who doesn't get much that often but looks after them superbly.
