We're getting ready to set up a 240. I was wondering if we decide to go fish "only", are there any corals that we can safely put in there? We really want to have a clown trigger and a couple of angels, but don't want to sacrifice the beauty of a reef. What about hammers, torches, etc?

Sure, you can have some corals. Actually, folks keep full-size, dwarf, and of course Genicanthus angels in reefs. Angels are most likely to go after meaty LPS, like Acans. Zoas are also on the menu. In my experience, the dwarf angels I've kept haven't bothered Euphyllia...not sure about full size angels and Euphyllia like hammers and torches.

I wouldn't trust an adult clown trigger with any coral that I cared about.

You could go with hardy, cheap, non-palatable corals like star polyps, Xenia, Kenya trees, toadstool leathers, mushrooms.
