New member, long-time reefer. Just getting back into the swing of spending every minute on the web piecing my next setup together. I almost think the design and build is as much fun as the finished product.

I've been swimming through the saltiness over 20 years now; a little history of mine.
50G FO >> 75G FO >> 210G FO >> 37G Reef >> 24G Reef >> 16G Reef >> 54G Reef (in progress)

I really got into this when I met Ron @Octopuss Garden while living in San Diego. For me, he was the most knowledgeable individual to ever attempt to put up with my incessant questions. He was unreserved and willing to teach. I listened. He kept talking. I was ready to leave the store. He kept talking. Sad to hear he closed shop, but I've moved away now anyway.

My current build will be a Reefer 250-based setup. I was aiming for a 48" tank but, well, that's how it goes when you have responsibilities - you take what you can get (approved). It passes the WAF well enough on a few areas so that's always a bonus!

I don't fancy myself that interesting of an individual but when I get to the actual build phase I maybe will start a build thread. My daughter is old enough to be interested in this tank so I have plenty of "opinions" floated my way daily. I just wish she knew which skimmer I should go with....

Welcome to R2R. Most definitely set up a build thread and share your progress.

WOW! Thanks all for the awesome welcoming. Man I'm glad I found this forum. I guess when we grow up, get banned or fed up with the "experts" elsewhere, this is the place to be! I've been reading around here and, so far, I have to say I haven't come across the type of "banter" that I saw on the forum to remain nameless (b/c you already know which one I'm referring to ;)).

I look forward to assembling my next adventure soon so I'll be asking some questions as I get a little further.

Thanks again.
