Aloha my fellow reefers! My name is David, and have had a Reef aquarium for almost 2 years now, and I am still learning everyday, mostly the hard way of what not to do...lol, I am fortunate to have a great local reef community, A friend (ReefnJunkie) refered me to this forum and I am excited to also become part of this community. I currently only have a 40 breeder with 20L sump, very simple setup, dual 250w Sunpod, Reef Octopus Skimmer, Refugium, Vortec MP10, and about 50 pounds of Key Largo live rock (was dry when I setup). This tank has been such a learning process and I have learned ALOT over the last few years, and hope to keep learning.

Here are a couple pics...

My big problem is I like EVERYTHING! I like SPS, LPS, Softies, Clams, Fish, BUT....only so much can fit into a 40 gallon Breeder, so I have tried to learn as much as I can in hopes that the next system I setup, I will have a better idea of how to do things, I hope to someday setup a new larger system, and take what I have learned and set the next one up even better. Its taken me quite a while to narrow down what I REALLY like, but even then opinions change, for example, I NEVER really liked chalices, and never gave them a shot, but recently I got my first chalice, and next thing you know, I now have 7 Chalices, and now I am wondering why I never liked them...lol, This first system I basically wanted to try everything, to see how they grow, how well I do with them (thats the most important to me) so when I go to plan and setup my next system I will have a better idea of what I might want to put in there.

I love my little 40 breeder becuase it has taught me what NOT to do, and what I DON'T like...for example the Aquascaping, at first I was pleased with it, but that quickly changed and I wish I had done it differently now, but oh well I guess...lol Anyway, I am excited to surf your forums, and learn from everyone, I quickly glanced at the LPS forum, WOW!!! there is some amazing systems and corals!...
