Okay i have quite a few acroporas and sps in my tank.. I had 4 sea urchins in this 135g at one point but i banished one who i caught ate parts of my hawkins coral and a blue.grape acropora.

The other urchins i have are a pin cushion hes about 2 golf balls in size pretty big. I have a blue tuxedo urchin.. and a fist sized long spine sea urchine.

I dunno which one did this.. zive had the tuxedo and pin cushion urchin for a long time. The long spine is maybe a month or two old.

It must have happened at night..

Grr. This a acropora was already small pinky nail sized.. now its half the size. Should i put a little putty on it exposed skeleton or just leave it alone. Its s corn bread acropora. Man this thing was just starting to grow really well you can see the bottom oozing out..

I dunno if it even was the urchins but who else woulda done this. Lol. Whats weird is i have many acroporas aurrounding this one and they arent touched..

One of the urchins may have broken it off.
I did have a black long spine urchin that took some flesh off the base of an acro as it was eating it's way across the rock but don't see one eating a chunk like that.

Wow you rock... i looked around all over for a chunk and i found it laying next to my clam below he was hiding it.

Awsome. Should i glue this back on somehow M its pretty tiny... or should i jist glue this chink next to it lol ?

Glue next to it so they can base out together. Can already see the original frag healing.

Glad you found it. Like @aqua_code said, just glue it next to it

I had a tuxedo urchin save my Oregon tort by eating the dead algae covered area away, but I have never seen them eat healthy across before.

next to it. They'll grow together. :-)

To me, I'd put them separate places so you have two, looks like a really nice piece. My fish knocked over a pink Lemonade and the encrusting base stayed put, now I have two starters :) I even do that with frag plugs sometimes if it works out.

I don’t t trust urchins even they claim to help maintain your tank, i put one on my big tank and saw it to close to some of my corals and it was enough for me to say u are out and going back into ur previous tank
