Has anyone tried setting up two gyro pumps, one on either end of your tank, with alternating flows. I’m talking about flow going left to right for several hours, and then slowly shift to a right to left flow for several hours. My theory is this would replicate incoming and outgoing tides, and give corals a break from always getting pushed in the same direction.

I assumed this was a common practice, but I can’t find any threads on it, nor can I find any you tubes videos on it.

Does anyone have any thought on, or experience with this idea?

Cool. I have 2 Red Sea gyres. The setup UI doesn’t have a clear way to do it, as far as I can see. I gave to setup the two pumps cycles separately to achieve the effect. Kind of surprising. I would have thought this was a standard setting.
