I'm in search of alternatives to the popular and expensive Ecotech pumps... I don't need the compatibility between multiple pumps, since I only have a nano tank. It's a 12 gallon, but I may upgrade to a 32 gallon within the next few months... I'm currently using the hydor nano.

For corals, I only have LPS and softies, and a Lepto (which is SPS right?). I actually have the Koralia pump turned off during the day, so that the LPS can open up more with the lower flow from the filter pump. I'm looking for something that I can adjust the power of, so that I don't have to turn the pump off completely. My LFS was showing me a pump that you could control from your phone, but it still had a sticker price of ~$160. Are there any other alternatives?

A Tunze 6040 is a controllable pump and costs I think about $140 new and maybe find a used one for under $100. A lot of people will recommend Jebao but having had a few pieces I will tell you that you get what you pay for.
