I am looking to buy a new frogspawn as my first ever coral. I read that a coral dip is very important so I will do that, if I can't find coral dip in my lfs, what can I use instead? And how do I use it? Dosing recommendations, time in the dip, that kind of stuff. Thanks in advance!

Bayer makes a pesticide you can buy at the hardware store. One bottle is cheaper than coral dip and way bigger

No problem! I believe I got mine at lowes, but home depot should have it too. I put the frag in a small sandwich bag of saltwater (usually just the water it came it) and do 5ml of bayer for 7 to 10 mins. Then dump some saltwater over the frag then dip for a second in clean saltwater from my tank.

I've never had an issue doing it this way but I have heard from others that less bayer is fine and a much longer rinse is needed afterwards ;Bookworm

Oh and bayer does sell a smaller bottle that's a different shape. It looks similar but has different ingredients so stick with the one I posted
