Aluminum 80/20 stand on a tile floor

Quick calculation, assuming your tank is the typical 96" x 48" and the stand is the same and assuming that your stand is using 1.5" x 3" t-slot beams with the 1.5" side in contact with the floor, in the configuration of the picture, you will have 558 square inches contacting the floor. So if your set up weighs 5000 lbs., (yeah, I rounded up for worst case scenarioo_O) then 5000 divided by 558 equals 8.96 pounds per square inch. No sweat as long as the floor is strong enough to hold the entire weight (as in a concrete slab floor).
 
I put a half inch piece of plywood down. Sealed it with clear lacquer and glued on a trim strip to hide the cut edge.

Update: Pulled the plywood after a year to see how the floor was holding up, and to check under it since there has been a few spills. Found water under the plywood, and initial signs of mold. Was not a good idea since you can't dry out any water that gets under it.
