I always know when the aluminum beads are saturated because they start to turn tan color.
Just started using GFO instead of aluminum beads.
Is there a visual indication that let you know the GFO is 'done'.

Love GFO, but you need to start off with a really small dose.
You can shock an reef, real fast if it don't take it nice and slow... :eek:

Can't tell by looking for exhaustion, but you could test the output's water if you tumble GFO, in it's own reactor.
