So my tank cracked and to replace the tank i bought a 350 gallon water tank for horses and cattle that ill use as a pond. :D

Problem, it has an aluminum reinforced drain valve. Would this be a problem? I siliconed everywhere on the aluminum so that its not in contact with water.

Heres a pic of the aluminum. Its under the abs screw in valve.

Maybe i should stuff the hole with some epoxy stick for corals as an added protection?

I looked it up and this is the kind of aluminum:

6061 is a precipitation-hardened aluminum alloy, containing magnesium and silicon as its major alloying elements.

I used a pond liner to be safe
