Hello,
I received my first lab test kit results from ATI, and the one pollutant it shows is aluminum @ 50.80 ug/l with a reference value of 0.09 ug/l and the result of 50.71 ug/l. I am trying to find the source of the aluminum and should I be really concerned. I have a six stage RODI unit with two carbon blocks in succession and two DI resin after the membrane. my incoming water is usually around 275-300 TDS and the water after the membrane is 4-5 TDS flowing into the DI resin, the TDS meter on the product line shows 0 TDS. So I was thinking that it could be my water filtration process or the marine pure block that I have in my sump because somewhere I read that it could leak aluminum into your water, or the rock and sand I used. I have a 120 gallon tank which I started in February and has been cycled since mid March using Dr. Tim's ammonium chloride, 80 lbs. of Pukani rock and approximately 30 lbs. of Fiji, which was cured for 90 days in brute cans with heat, circulation and water changes weekly. Sand was Caribsea live reef. Also I use TMP salt mix in a brute can with a pump and no heat, the water stays at 78.5 degrees because of the small pump and I live in Florida where heat is no problem. Any help would really be appreciated.
Thank you
