I've had these alveos for awhile and I just got this goni. Do you think they could use more flow? Or why don't they ever extend? They do grow very slowly. My parameters are
Kh-8.6
Calc- 440
Mag-1400
Nitrate-5
Phosphate-0.04

Hard to tell in only 3 seconds, but in that short time, it seems to be enough flow.

Yes, goni grows very slowly.

As for why its not fully extending for you, I don't know. Its partially open at least, I say give it more time to acclimate to your tank.

I've had it for 6 months now.

Without knowing more details about the tank, my best suggestion for now would be to raise it. It likes a bit more light than zoa's in my experience, so I would raise it into more light and more flow. It likes nutrients in the water, both nitrate and phosphate, so check your levels. Mine seem to like when I spot feed it reef roids, I do it very rarely but they like it.

This is how I keep my 5 happy, my oldest is 4 years, its the long stemmed one that you have, it can extend up to 7"-8" when its happy. They take a while to open, when my lights come on, they take about 4-5 hours to really fully extend.

Hope this helps you, but if it does or doesn't, report back, would like to hear an update. Good luck

Yea my nutrients are low but ive seen them in acro dominated tanks that run almost 0 nutrients. I'll try to raise it up more. Thanks.
