I've had it for 6 months now.Hard to tell in only 3 seconds, but in that short time, it seems to be enough flow.
Yes, goni grows very slowly.
As for why its not fully extending for you, I don't know. Its partially open at least, I say give it more time to acclimate to your tank.
Without knowing more details about the tank, my best suggestion for now would be to raise it. It likes a bit more light than zoa's in my experience, so I would raise it into more light and more flow. It likes nutrients in the water, both nitrate and phosphate, so check your levels. Mine seem to like when I spot feed it reef roids, I do it very rarely but they like it.I've had it for 6 months now.
Yea my nutrients are low but ive seen them in acro dominated tanks that run almost 0 nutrients. I'll try to raise it up more. This is how I keep my 5 happy, my oldest is 4 years, its the long stemmed one that you have, it can extend up to 7"-8" when its happy. They take a while to open, when my lights come on, they take about 4-5 hours to really fully extend.
Hope this helps you, but if it does or doesn't, report back, would like to hear an update. Good luck
