Always check the flesh

So I did something really dumb the other day and bought some torches from the marketplace without asking for pictures of the flesh. Turns out that most of the torches I bought barely have any flesh on the outer rim and what looks like euphyllia eating flatworms eggs.

Make sure you guys always ask for pictures of the flesh on the skeleton whenever you buy any euphyllia and don’t be dumb like me. Also make sure you always dip your corals.

Yikes!! I made this mistake once a LFS... everything was top down in shallow tanks and it looked good. Got home to notice no flesh around the edges and it was receded a bit. It has been many months but it hasn't grown back. My healthy torch has split many times. It makes me wonder if it will ever recover.
