I've been out of the hobby for nearly 20 years, but now gathering steam for a new nano peninsula tank.

I have my shopping list of needs but literally the first thing I bought and created was my marco rock aquascape. I could not wait to start breaking rocks and fitting together.

Like a kid in a candy store....insane or normal?

Whatever gets you excited. Not a horrible idea as it will need to be soaked for a while to get anything to leach out that can cause issues in a nano tank.

Marco rock is super clean out of the box and just needs to be rinsed for dust..

What floats your boat is a good thing

Sounds normal to me. After making my first aquascape that wasn’t just randomly stacked rocks, I found that I actually enjoy doing it.

Aqua scaping is a love/hate thing for me. I have a lot of ideas but the perfectionist in me is fighting with the creative side most of the time.

The struggle of deciding what looks best/natural and provides a good fish habitat and has a lot of options for coral placement at all levels of the scape stresses the overthinking portion of my brain. lol.
