Im kinda tired of this whole section of my tank.

Its ugly to me and just has no real natural looking flow. My friend yesturday said if you cut your tank in half and this side was just in a smaller tank itd look awsome. And she was talking about the right side of my tank.

I have lots and lots of big caves and the rock formations look more natural and flow well. Its hard to tell on pictures though. But the left side of my tank is just blah.

I dunno what to do with it. I used my biggest rock i have which is a 16 inch long 45 lbs boulder of a rock. Stood it up and i wanted to have a plating monti rock. Like i see some people have i thought itd be cool. So i gathered 4 colors of monti caps. Purple a orangish red, some ugly brown green with red polyps. And a neon green cap which died unfortnatly.

And they grow like weeds. Look very cool but now. Its just meh i dunno. The rocks next to it in the back are meh. Two dont have corals on them and see almost wasted to me. One has a green nepthea ive had for 1 1.2 years and just grows a
So slow i dont care much about it. It just grows thick like a tree trunk but never branchs out.

I have two acropora stags on it that are brown. I thought in my tank theyd color up but they must be some wild acro that is just brown 24.7. I was given them by some someone. I have 15 acros and they all get pink and bright colors but these two are crappy

I just added the lower white rocks and glued all my cyphastreas to them.. but it looks meh.

I want to just break off all the monti caps into as big of peices as i can and maybe move them to my moms 30 gallon which could use more corals. Or maybe i can keep a couple. And figure out where to put them in my tank.

I was thinking maybe flip this rock on its side and lay it on top of little rocks so its one giant flat platform (except turn it upside down to kill off the remaining caps that encrusted to it which i cant remove) this way i have another platform for more acroporas or whatever. Im not sure what would go on it. Maybe glue the monti caps on the side after i lay it down flat on the stilts..

Sorry i know its hard to figure this out in texts vs seeing it.

But what do you guys think. Im not good at drawing but i wanna take the purple circled rock.. and flip it down in the red circle.. but on stilts so it has a big cave under it.. and maybe stack the other rocks i have in the pick on top of it or something.. creating maybe a pyramid i dunno yet. Last pic is my rigjt side.. Its just so much better in my opinion.. And i feel this big rock with the monti caps is whats keeping this side from lookong good

I have the same issue... the left side is just blah and I don’t know why. I have slowly started replacing the corals on the left side with the same types of corals on the right and have found that it helped. I also found that increasing flow on that side helped add movement to reduce ‘stagnancy’. I also added another light so I could space them out better and get even, bright lighting on both sides which made it less ‘blegh’

Yea my right side is a big zoa garden and its alll caves.. hard to tell in my pic but thats all big caves for tangs to swim in. I was thinking of doing that on the left too. All zoas or acros. I dunno.. i hate to remove my plating montis but i sware its such a boring coral

Euphyllia saved my left side, and an alveopora. A clove garden like mine also really helped
