Hello everyone,
First time caller, long time listener...or reader/learner that is. I'm a talker when it comes to this hobby, so bare with me. Finally pulled the trigger and made an account. My name is Nate. Born and raised in a small coastal town called Bandon. Now I'm living the reef life in Salem and I couldn't be happier. To everyone who offers up their time to help others succeed on here, great kudos to you from me. I swear by now my corals are some kind of supercoral from all of the times I've taken them to the brink and you've all saved them. I need to get a coral lens for my phone , but here is my first tank.
(Sorry for taking basically the same picture. I"ll upload more as I post.)
It's been up and going for a little over a year since I put the first coral in and I've been steadily adding more ever since. It was running for 8 months before that. (Oh boy did I go through a lot of fish
) It's a 50 gallon SeaClear Acrylic tank. I had no clue was I was doing when I first set up the tank, so there's no sump. I know people are going to get upset about the tangs and Copperband in such a small tank, but the Copperband Butterflyfish is going into a 90 gallon that's currently cycling and the Yellow Eye Kole Tang will go in the 40 breeder that's currently being set up as hospital tank, but will soon be his permanent frag tank home. I got the Purple Tang when it was a wee lad, but he's since outgrown this tank. He'll be going in the 90 gallon as well. Other fish are 2 Snowflake Ocellaris clowns, a Melanurus wrasse, and a Chalk Basslet.
