Am I feeding my new corals right?

Just got my fist 2 corals. I posted another thread, and everybody told me that I should be feeding the corals. I fed the Duncan and the toadstool some of the Herbivore Rods food. Is that the right stuff to feed them? When I fed the Duncan it Immediately closed. It was closer about five minutes and then opened right back up. The total did not close at all and I can still see some of the food on it. The food is the white specs in the picture.

Mysis or spiruline brine are good options.
