My leather hand coral have been shrinking lately. I woke up to find a lot of bubbles at the top of the tank. Last water change was done Thursday 30%. All perimeters seem normal. No new additions to the tank. No change in bio load. I did a Rowaphos change two days ago per regular maintenance about every three weeks and all other corals and fish seen fine.

I've heard some species of fish will do this for preparation in breeding. I have a pair of clowns. Could "Happy" & "Gillmore" be planning some sexy time? If so what music should I put on at night to help?

Bubbles on the top just mean you don't have enough flow / agitation at the surface. Do you have any powerheads in the tank or is it just the hang-on filter?

Those bubbles are a good indicator of DOC's
How is the skimmer performing?
Do you run carbon?

I've got a hydro koralia 425. Water was getting a little low so I topped it off. Seemed to fix the bubbles but the coral will take a few days. I got some reef frenzy from my local shop. I'm going to give it a few days and see if they bounce back.

I was hoping it was the clown fish. The food was 10 dollars. Marvin Gaye Lets Get It On CD was only 3.99..

No skimmer. This is a ten gallon nano. Not much room or use for a skimmer.
