Am I killing my live rock?

The definitive answer as to whether or not live rock can stay alive without circulation is found by looking up special reef tanks for sale called PJ Reefs let me know what you find

They're special little Pico reefs that have one unique characteristic

Btw - this reminds me of the facebook posts that say "worst (or best) day ever!!!" and then nothing else - waiting for the rest of the people to ask 'what?' But I'll bite - what is the unique characteristic.

They’re stilled systems. No circ reefs. Not with sps, but you’d be amazed at the fare that will handle stillness and microcurrents (movement still occurs but slower) such as mushrooms, briareum GSP, some palythoids will tolerate it as well though they don’t maintain the low hydrodynamic profile.

Paul is a legit guy I knew him before these systems at nano-reef.com in the biotopes forum, he was working with stilled systems and I hadn’t thought that was possible at the time. The live rock he sells for the systems is quite nice it’s not barren

Dry rock, meaning sun dried, should be good to go...bacteria will develop over time...wet rock depends on other factors
