I noticed you said you have a 15g sump, if you don't have skimmer then I would definitely add a quality one.
It will do a much better job at pulling out waste/organics than a hob filter. Beef up, water changes and bigger cleanup crew.

I do have a skimmer and it is working overtime! I had to turn it down a little bit because it kept filling the cup and overflowing!

I took out all the rocks and scrubbed them in the water that I pulled out from a water change. Not sure why I didn’t scrub the GHA off the back wall but the Turbo snails are slowly but steadily getting rid of that for me.

The GHA has been dying back a bit, but it was being overtaken by cyano. Tried to clean up as much as I could. Going to order another jar of pods and hope they help. Might add some hermit crabs and Zoas next.
