Recently purchased a used 120g that came with some 48" Coralife T5 HO Lunar light fixtures. I already have some lights I intend to use on the tank, but I might supplement with one of these. Am I missing part of the LED power cord...?

I'm not sure these are even made anymore. Anyone familiar with the product who can tell me what this plugs into? Is it just a simple disconnect like the one pictured? Or is it intended to plug into a controller?

It looks like one AC plug is for daylight T5 bulbs, the second AC plug is for Actinic T5 bulbs.

It looks like your missing the DC power supply for the leds.

Click on the link, then click on the lunar tab to the right.

Coralife should be able to help.

FWIW:
They're just lunar leds and really don't help corals.

Blast from the past. That was my first light. IMO if you are going to use that light get an adapter for those lunar lights. Those were my favorite feature and I wish there was something similar available now on LED

thank you

do you remember the specs of the dc (led) adapter, or find the right one on Amazon?

I have a similar fixture laying around. It's a 30" w/2 LEDs
It uses a 4.5v 550ma power supply

My multimeter just told me it puts out 4.9-5v DC
It's center positive.

Not sure how many Moonlights you have - I'll assume 3
Any switching 5 volt DC power supply up to 1000ma will do you well.

Thanks! I left a message with their customer service, but I suspect my local electronics store can help me replace the missing piece. My newer LEDs have a moonlight option, but I guess I'd like to check these out, too. I know they don't really have a benefit beyond letting me watch the action at night, but isn't that enough? :)

I thought they were old school, but had no idea how old, exactly. Guessing they were the thing like 20 years-ish ago?

FWIW, 2000 doesn't seem all that long ago..

The spotlight effect is dope. Watching the tank at night is a good way to see the health of your tank. Night time critters are weird.

This 48" comes with FOUR of those lunar lights, baby!

My plan of action is to rent a par meter from BRS once I have rock and water in the tank. I'll make a map and try a few light combinations, including (one of these old school options) and go from there.

OK, so look for a switching 5v DC power supply with say 1.5amp output
Center positive is important, and switching will allow your LEDs to draw what they want
