Yeah it’s probably my testing error I’ll retest it again and if it tests 7 then I’ll go into my LFS and get it tested they also use Sailfert.Or maybe small testing error. Makes me wonder how my alkalinity is higher than yours. Lol I’m also using Salifert test kits but i change less water.
Also my tank is 30 gallons
Ok I’ll for sure get that Alk retested in multiple different places haha. But If your alk is 7 I would slowly try to get it up to 9-10 when you have the LPS I heard that they do much better in a higher alkalinity. Don’t dose anything unless you know for sure it’s that low. But your water changes should put your alkalinity in the 11-12 range and it probably shouldn’t even be lower than 10
Purple Monster, Nirvana, and Daisycutter Zoanthids. Also a Orange Ricordea, a Rhodactis, and a Green Sinularia Leather. Also keep in mind my Alk was 7.3 before I added these so I don’t think it’s the consumption.Which soft corals do you have?
Yeah I have an upgraded return pump and a Jebao OW 10 running at about half speed. Also your lights are perfectly fine for keeping any LPS corals. Do you have surface movement on the surface?
Just other soft coral and lps. Not a huge fan of SPS but maybe in a year or two if I like them then. What other corals do you plan on getting in the future?
Yeah that’s good because SPS would require a whole different setup. Most people that have mixed reefs with LPS and SPS together have much bigger tanks. And very strong lighting. That way the lower par can hit the LPS and higher par will hit the SPSJust other soft coral and lps. Not a huge fan of SPS but maybe in a year or two if I like them then.
