Hey guys, after all that bacterial supplementation which includes the ZeoStart carbon dosing, probiotic and nitrifying bacteria, live phytoplankton, and over the past few weeks I've even been using an AF product called Life Source which is natural mud taken from near Fiji reefs which is supposedly teeming with microorganisms and trace minerals, I found out today my refractometer has been off by 10 ppt so my water has been hyper saline (about 45 ppt). Of course as soon as I realized this I brought the salinity back down to where it should be and I wouldn't think that all the bacterial diversity I was working to build was being significantly impacted by a 10 ppt excess in salinity (although I'm no expert). Tonight after changing a good bit of water to correct the salinity I added the live phyto, AF Phyto/zooplankton mixture, a dose of nitrifying and probiotic bacteria, and the AF Life Source mud from Fiji for those extra microorganisms and especially to replace the trace elements that were lost in the sizeable water change I had to do. I got the Noopsyche K7 V3 light set up and was planning on adding a tube anemone Friday due to their beautiful fluorescence...does this sound ok to you guys?
