Am I safe to add fish?

So I lost almost all my fish but a wrasse from black ICK. The wrasse is doing great even after 2.5 months since ich killed my other fish. Is it safe to add fish again?

Nothing to be honest. My fish died so quick I didn’t even have time to treat. But the wrasse held in there and shows no signs.

How quick did they die?
I can’t remember but either brook or velvet kill fish quick. And if you left your wrasse in there then whatever it is is still in there

They died within a couple days. One fish after another. But wouldn’t the wrasse have died by now?

Can you place your wrasse in a qt for (I believe) 76 days? Go fallow?

Your wrasse maybe resistant to whatever did ur other fish in.

Yeah, it’s a big risk to add fish back in right now. You’d have been better off if the wrasse had also died, or you had removed it when this happened. Leaving a fish in the tank means that any pathogen could potentially still be alive and active, but the wrasse is just asymptomatic.

probably not the smartest thing to do. I agree with dyerrm it would be best to quarantine the wrasse until you can get your DT back on track and eliminate the possibility of whatever knocked off your other fish, out the way. Any identifying marks( white spots etc.) on the dead fish?

The clown tang that died was scratching himself on sand and had black dots on him

Black dots on a tang is likely turbellaria. It’s possible they’ve survived in your substrate. You could try prophylactically treating the tank with PraziPro for a week or so. I’d also quarantine any new fish coming in to screen them for diseases to avoid a repeat.
