Am I the only one?

I don't seem to have this problem... the way my sump is set up, I don't have to shut anything off if I don't want to. I run 1 large filter sock and I have 3 back ups. I rinse out in my basement sink with normal water then they go in a bucket of bleach and water for a few days. Once its done soaking, I rinse out again in the sink with normal water, then hang dry it for a few days. I change my socks every 3-4 days so with having the extra socks, by the time its rotated in, its been drying around 9 days give or take, so there isn't any bleach left in them. Maybe invest in a few more socks so they have a longer drying period? I don't see the need personally to run them through the washer... they come out after soaking in bleach pretty much like new.
