amature refuge cheato question

Hi all
Hope you doing good .
I recently added a piece of chaeto it started to grow slowing since my nitrate are high . I did A water change and noticed some hair alge next to my chetao on my fuge section

Is this normal Or should I take immediately action on this .no hair algea in the display tank.

I also had some hair algae in my refugium. I just remove it when I see it. Haven’t seen it my tank either. By product of strong refugium light. Over time, have seen the chaeto growth take off and hair algae minimized.

Thanks for the advice. I think my cheato just kicked in .will give a week and see how things goes .hopefully my chaeto out competes it
