Just wondering if this is a variant / unique or if this is what they all are like

Normally it’s very poofy and I can’t see the stalk

But today whether it was flow or the lighting or time of night it was extending a little more than normal and I noticed the stalks and was pleasantly surprised.

Do they all have yellow stripes and speckles ?

I was going to say something but I’ve already been edited by the mods once this week and I don’t want to push their buttons lol

So. I will refrain from the use of puns around this corals name :)

Nice ballz. Mine looked like that for along time then all of a sudden when “no mas”.

So what your saying you don’t want to get pun-ished ?

I was going to make a pun about the title but thought better of it.
But then again…hey, why not… if it does, better go see a doctor right away. :)

That to me looks more normal than what you say it looked like previously, a long stork Goni you want to see the storks, you don’t want it all crunched up in a ball..you want your ballz to be free to move around.

Fun topic . Can we throw other gonis in ?

You don’t need permission to throw any of my posts off course. Let’s see them shafts

Bonus points if you can include a name or source

This one is from SBB, I’ll edit the post and add the name later

Yea they need that flow and circulation to breathe a little

BSA Madricis

No pattern on the stalk, but the base mat is marbled greens and yellow. Hard to photograph, it changes appearance based on light and viewing angle.

Them Modz can be brutal when they detect a wicked line.

I believe this is my oldest and first Goni ! This one is also the most resilient Goni in the tank and is open and extended every day. Others can be finicky or moody but not this one. Always happy

Back on topic, I’ve had this for over a month and it’s never extended as expected. Always polyps out but no extension. As of a day or two ago, it’s finally started and that’s when I noticed the stalks for the first time. Now every time I go to the tank, it’s extending :) guess the rumors are true and this Goni is a diva

Mine looks like that as well with striping. When it gets mad, it does stay upset for days.

This one was sold as a short stalk, but I’m wondering if it’s really a bernardpora

My biggest overall. Cheated a little, by starting with 2 frags(38 for one , the other was a fiver). Riptide Aquaculture acquired in January 2023
