Does the red fluoresce?Natural light really brings out the reds in this nem. Only a week before this guy is moving to a new home with much more space to grow. It will be exciting to see this nem get BIG

Yes, it fluoresces very well. That's actually when I first noticed that this anemone was gaining these red/pink colors. I had just 2 blue plus bulbs running and could see some red hues in a few tents around the outer edge.Does the red fluoresce?
New tank is 8'x4'x16" lagoon style. I plan to let this one grow as big as it will get, would love to see it get 20"+That is a special anemone for sure. Feed him and he will GROW quickly. As big as you want him.
I agree. Feed the crap out of it so it's 2' wideCome on let it grow to 3ft. It's not like your 8 ft tank can't handle it. lol

That is my plan. I would love to see this anemone reach its full size since space won’t be a problemI agree. Feed the crap out of it so it's 2' wide
When it first came in the color was mostly green/tan with the purplish color deeper into the tentacles. Only had it for maybe 2-3 weeks when I started seeing the orange and reds under fluorescent lightingSuch a cool one! What was the starting color prior to the morph?
Cool! I’ve seen a lot of gigs but never one like that. You should sell it, LOLWhen it first came in the color was mostly green/tan with the purplish color deeper into the tentacles. Only had it for maybe 2-3 weeks when I started seeing the orange and reds under fluorescent lighting
It is a unique one for sure. I don't think I could ever let this one go. I'm a huge fan of S. Gigantea, and to find a rainbowish one like this is like hitting the lotto for me.Cool! I’ve seen a lot of gigs but never one like that. You should sell it, LOL
It’s a cool one! I’d be curious to know if there are others like it in the hobby somewhere.Your anemone is head and shoulder above my so call “Rainbow” anemone for sure.
Yeah it's pretty sad how the marine life is handled on it's way to our aquariums.Looks great! I haven’t come across these multi color gigs you guys have. A decade ago I went to a wholesaler that got about 30 gigs in at one time. All they had were the typical colors, blue, purple, green, and brown, most were shades of brown. I watched them “acclimate” them. Lol. They dumped them all into a 5 gallon bucket on top of each other, imagine, a 5 gallon bucket filled to the rim with gigs, and turned on a 1/4” line to just dump saltwater on them for an hour overflowing the bucket. Then took that bucket and dumped it into a shallow 10’x6’ shallow tank and where they landed is where they landed. After seeing that, it’s no wonder so many struggled to survive. Some locals might remember Cisco the extortionist lol. I didn’t see any multi color gigs, but maybe some of the brown shades were I don’t know. Some of the brown shades looked yellow from bleaching. Anyways, nice gig lemonade! Yours doesn’t look very common to me.
