Anyone have any luck with an inline dimmer for Reef Brite XHO from Amazon. Not looking for Bluetooth control, just dimmer. I just added 2 of the 50/50 XHOs and it’s too white and just want to crank back a bit . I know BRS sells them for about 20 bucks each….just looking for a cheaper option. They are the 36” XHOs if it matters. TIA!!

The question then becomes which one? Curious if anyone has tried a specific one with success.

I know, I’m just cheap, like everyone else in this hobby! Always trying to save a buck…lol! To get 2 from BRS would come up to close to 50 bucks after taxes/ shipping I bet.

Any of these "type" work with constant voltage driven leds..

Whats the best way for me to automate the reef brite with dimmers if i dont want to spend money for the bluetooth

I don't understand the question ....

Any strip type dimmer/ programmer should work.
Tc-420... Needs a widows computer to program.
Tc-421 uses a phone app.
Sunsetters work:

As long as the power supply is constant voltage and it' s in the range of 12- 24 volts there are dozens of types.

Only major restriction then is the current
Most have limits of 4 to 6 amps per channel ( bar). At 24 volts that's 96 to 144 watts.
Tc-420 is 4A.
Tc-420 can
control 5 bars independently as long as each is under 96 watts.
You would need a bigger power supply
Like 24v 500 watts or greater.
Assuming your bars are 24v.
Don't know anyone who has pushed it that hard but it is within advertised specs of 20A total
The manual dimmer I posted above is 6 amps if I remember correctly.

Now another way to answer the question is use the manual dimmers and put the power supply on a cheap clock timer.
