Amazon Dry Rock any good?

i bought the same exact one a couple months back for my 60 gallon you need to wash it very good a lot of chalky rock falls off and i received one 20 pound piece and two 10 pound pieces so if you are not looking for a few large pieces i would go in store and pick out your own but other than that it is just the same as any dry rock in my opinion

I’m using it in my 150 gallon and it’s definitely reef safe. My fish and coral are happy. I had high phosphates after curing but I cured with tap water so I’m not sure if the phosphates from tap water were absorbed then leached or if the phosphate was from the rock. After a few doses of lanthanum chloride the phosphate issue was gone and did not return. They’re difficult to drill holes in even with hammer drill and masonry bit but it is possible. They’re very dense. But for $50 I think it’s the cheapest dry rock solution out there. The rocks can come pretty large but you can chisel them down with chisel and hammer. My next tank I’ll probably find more porous rock because I like to drill holes for frag plugs In them. But if you don’t need to shape or drill them, then I would recommend it.

Works great, as said above very dense and I also had phosphate issue during cure period. Power wash it well before you start to cure as well, it was pretty dusty.

Nature's Ocean 12-Inch Coral Base Rocks for Aquarium, 40-Pound
I saw this too, there is also a pack for $49.99 that is 20 lb of rocks which I can’t really see why other than one is just 4-8 inches Nature's Ocean Coral Base Rock 4-8 INCHES, 20 LBS
Wondering how important it will be to cure this rock and what the process would be to add Into an established tank. I want to buy this stuff, break it up clean it and then use e-Marco to make new structures and then add them into my tank. Is it possible to “cure” in just salt water or do I need to do the whole shrimp and whatnot in the water?
