Not a large bank account here, I hear some people get cheep lights to perform nearly as good as a kessil H380 over chaeto for a fraction of the cost, that being said.. what are these ufo lights, and are they really a sweet spot with price to performance

I use a $10 19w led light. It’s waterproof and sits about 6inches above the water. Works perfect. Chaeto grows super fast. Here’s a video brs did on the light and other lights as well
I got one for $25 and grows caulerpa fine... u can google LED Grow Light

After having a china led fail I went back to the cheap and reliable PC bulb in a clamp lamp. Still grows chaeto really fast and I have not had detectable no3 since I started the fuge, dropped from 10 ppm. Ime you dont need a super large fuge or a super strong led light to have an effective fuge for nutrient export.
