I have a rainbow bubble tip. It split less than two weeks ago. One of slightly smaller than the other but about the same size. They are both nice looking and have the inflated bulb tips. I tried feeding them and the smaller of the two looked as though it wanted to eat. Went through the normal enclosing and tenticles holding the small piece of silverside. Later in the day it still had not taken in the fish and later guessing it dropped it. Now looking at him it seems it does not have a mouth. Is this normal?

This is normal. When a anemone splits it is usually down the middle of its mouth. Give it at least a week if not more for a new mouth to form. Once a new mouth has developed than it will take the food.

Agreed. Also, be prepared for one of the nems to take a walk across the tank now that they've split. Every split I've had, one of them decides to find a new place to live, haha

Thanks glad to hear this is normal. They seem to be happy. The larger of the two has already moved to the other side of the rock.

I would leave them alone for a week or two so they can fully heal. when one of my GBTA split a few days after arrival, they both hid for a few days. it took them maybe two weeks to heal and now they're happy and eating every time I feed. both are about 4" now. :)

congrats on the split again. :)
